Prospect
National Taipei Institute of Technology (NTIT) was originally founded at the current location of the National Taipei University of Technology and is widely regarded as one of the foremost industrial schools in Taiwan, having made a significant impact on the nation's industrial development. In recent years, our department has experienced substantial growth and now encompasses two distinct institutes: the Institute of Mechatronic Engineering and the Institute of Manufacturing Technology.
Under the astute leadership of President Chang, our institution underwent a transformation into the National Taipei Institute of Technology, offering comprehensive 4-year programs, and was subsequently elevated to the status of the National Taipei University of Technology. We hold these achievements in high regard and are committed to upholding our four core values: integrity, simplicity, focus, and diligence. The Mechanical Engineering Department is actively aligning itself with the school's medium and long-term plans to ensure the realization of outstanding outcomes.
As part of our strategic initiatives, we have defined three primary objectives: research, education, and service. We have devoted significant effort to nurturing our department into a leading hub of industrial expertise, fostering research-oriented faculty members who propel us to the forefront of the global academic community. Our faculty comprises accomplished researchers capable of tackling both fundamental and applied scientific inquiries with ease. As part of our midterm strategy, we are actively seeking collaborations with our esteemed alumni, thereby advancing our goals while creating enhanced opportunities for them. Furthermore, we intend to leverage internet and multimedia technologies to establish an interactive lifelong learning system that keeps our students abreast of the ever-evolving modern world.
In addition to our research and educational pursuits, we are equally dedicated to providing our students with a well-rounded education that instills strong ethical values and a broad worldview. Given Taiwan's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), this objective has taken on even greater significance, as we aim to facilitate closer interaction between Taiwan and the global community. Additionally, we have diligently worked towards establishing academic partnerships involving Taiwan, Mainland China, and overseas institutions, in order to engage in reciprocal support and international exchange programs. We are also in the process of introducing distance education technologies to the Mechanical Engineering Department at NTUT, thereby ensuring that we meet the highest standards of education.
With these collective efforts, we maintain our confidence in our ability to become a global leader. Through our wise leadership, rich history, strategic geographical location, and the contributions of our esteemed alumni, we eagerly anticipate an exciting future with boundless potential.
